DNN Tokens

Is there a way to have a combination of DNN Tokens/user input inserted within the custom message of the janet.ReferMe module? For example;

Dear [FIRSTNAME] (this would be taken from user input), you have been invited by [FIRSTNAME] [LASTNAME]  (DNN Token)

So instead of only entering the user's email address they are refering they would also have to provide First Name/Last name...

Terry

Hello Terry,

Thanks for your idea.

I have had a couple of requests to improve the message. I am working to provide a second option with a pop-up, allowing the user to add their own message. I'll take your suggestion and look to adding this as a cover for the custom e-mail message.

Re: DNN Tokens

Neil,

You're very welcome. I found out about your module from Lucas at dnnfusion.com ...I wanted a way to let users refer others in a professional networking portal I'm developing. I liked the option of having the custom message so the user does not need to put anything in.

It might be nice to also allow the user to receive a feedback copy of the message they sent.

Re: DNN Tokens
Hello Terry,

Sounds like you need something in-between the current very simple version and the newer more comprehensive option. Perhas a small tweak is all that's required. I'll see what can be done.

Re: DNN Tokens

Hey Neil. Having some very simple - like just [Your_Name] - would be really really cool.

Used something like this:
[Your_Name] visited us today and thought you might be interested in http://www.blah.blah

The current version of this is
[username] saw this on the [url] website and thought you should see it.
its in the resourcefile refermeForm.aspx.resx
but maybe over-ridden using the Email Text entry under the settings.

Give it a go and let me know if it needs tweaking
