 DotNetNuke Articles

The initial installation of DotNetNuke is configured for the US currency and locale settings. To change this so that our currency symbols are shown in, for example, UK pound sign, we need to edit the web.config file located at the root of the DotNetNuke installation.

The line given below is taken from the web,config file, it shows the original installation setting.

<globalization culture="en-US" uiCulture="en" requestEncoding="UTF-8" responseEncoding="UTF-8" fileEncoding="UTF-8" />

Copy this line and comment out the original.  For UK pound sign usage the settings will be:

<globalization culture="en-GB" uiCulture="en" requestEncoding="UTF-8" responseEncoding="UTF-8" fileEncoding="UTF-8" />
