Image Standard Module

The images module provides us with an easy interface for adding an image to our web page. Using this interface we can add the image without the need to know the relevant HTML codes.

The module allows us to define the following parameters:

• Image name
• Alt text (for mouse over effects and if the image is not served to the client browser. This is used by text only browser and text to speech convertors, such as braille readers. Search engines tend to like it as well.)
• Image width
• Image height

When adding an image, ensure that the image to be uploaded is the same width and height as to how you wish to display it on the web page. This article describes further how your image may be optimised for faster and more efficient downloading, for viewing in the client browser.
